The LadiesForGirls (L4G) project will deliberately engage young women (within the age range of 18 – 30) to be socially committed to the positive development of the social environmental policies, and to become key role players, actively working to improve the quality of lives of a set of marginalised out of school girls (within the age range 18 – 25) in Nigeria.
This project is intended to focus on two major outputs; one is to raise a set of young social entrepreneurs who will be actively involved in advocating for girl-child and gender-related issues, while the second is to promote social and economic inclusion for marginalised out of school girls through Safe Space Learning.

Their focus will be on girl child education and empowerment at local government level in Nigeria. This will serve as community service project for the advocacy group. They will be trained, mobilised, guided and supervised to perform this service through the following activities, all at local government level;
- Advocating for the reintegration of out-of- school girls (due to pregnancy and child marriage) back to school, and policies that favour and encourages more girls to stay in school.

Motivation of the applicant / applicant team:
The motivation for the L4G project is to address social and economic apathy among Nigerian Youth, especially the female folks. It is to foster social commitment to combat some gender-related issues which continuously promote girl child marginalisation at the grass-root level. It is also motivated to promote the establishment of active and functional advocacy groups in order to promote policy-oriented political campaigns at local government level and in Nigeria at large, as against empty and baseless promises during political campaigns. It is also to encourage community service initiative among young people in Nigeria.
