First German Robotics Conference
Robotics is among the key technology trends. The strength of robotics “made in Germany” is demonstrated by the first German Robotics Conference in Nuremberg.

Nuremberg (d.de) – Leading robotics and AI experts have been meeting at the first German Robotics Conference in Nuremberg since yesterday. Various topics relating to robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) are to be discussed – including multimodal learning, networked robotics, safety and reliability of AI-based robotics and robots with a sense of touch. The programme also includes lectures and interactive presentations on the latest trends in AI-based robotics, panels involving research and industry, and robotics demos.
The Robocup German Open 2025 started at the same time as the conference: more than 40 teams from universities and technical colleges from numerous countries in Europe, Asia and North America are competing against each other in four categories – robot football (photo), service robots for the home, rescue robots for civil defence, and manufacturing robots.
Germany is ideally positioned in the field of robotics: nine German universities are among the top 100 in the global computer science ranking for robotics, over 1,200 research publications have appeared in Germany in the last five years, and more than 70 major projects have been funded by the German Research Foundation.
