Low unemployment – many companies are looking for skilled workers
The German labour market is flourising as a result of low unemployment.

Falling numbers are not always good, but sometimes they give grounds for celebration. Germany’s unemployment figures are currently generating one record low after the other. They recently fell to the lowest February total in 24 years with 3.017 million unemployed. Overall, the unemployment rate decreased by 0.1% to 6.9%. On the other hand, the number of vacancies has reached a record high: the Federal Employment Agency recorded 519,000 vacant positions in February, 63,000 more than the year before. Businesses are increasingly looking for new employees and often considering hiring skilled workers from abroad.
