Around 4,000 companies from 150 countries will be exhibiting at the trade fair, covering a wide range of topics – ranging from “Energy for Industry” to “International Trade & Investment”. This year there will be a particular focus on artificial intelligence (AI). Numerous companies are already using AI and will be showcasing their solutions at the trade fair: Siemens has developed a digital twin for pharmaceutical production, for example, while the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) uses simulations for autonomous robotic systems.
To enable visitors to keep track of all the exhibitors and their ideas on the use of AI, the trade fair offers its own app: on the “Dynamic Tour” it is possible to explore all the AI highlights from home, too.
Hydrogen from Canada
Sustainability is another key factor in shaping the future of the industry. A role model here is Canada – this year's partner country at the Hannover Messe. The North American country plays a pioneering role in hydrogen research in particular, and the Federal Government maintains a hydrogen partnership with Canada.
Awards for outstanding achievements
Pioneering approaches receive special recognition at the Hannover Messe: the HERMES AWARD is presented each year to a project that stands out for its technological innovation. The “Engineer Woman Awards” recognise female experts in STEM professions: the winners are honoured at FEMWORX – two days at the Hannover Messe that are dedicated entirely to women’s careers in industry. Featuring workshops, lectures and discussions, FEMWORX sees itself as a networking event for female managing directors and future managers.
