Project description:

"Mtoto first aid" is a Serious game that helps the player learn how to administer first aid to an infant and a toddler in case of an emergency. It is a first aid simulation where the player will be able to perform the actual techniques using 3D animated characters that they will be able to control in the game. Clear Instructions will be given on how to perform a particular technique and then the player can try to do it on their own while controlling the characters in the game. The game has 10 common emergencies the player can choose from which include include: Chocking, Unresponsive baby, Burns, Poisoning, Vommitting/diarhoea,Fever, Bleeding, Asthma, Nose bleed, and Head injury. The game will be Available for Android, IOS and PC.

Goal and purpose of the project:

It is a fun and interactive way to disseminate important life saving knowledge. Most first aid training available on mobile devices are text based with few images in a language difficult for most people to understand and the actual technique is not really shown clearly and they lack interactivity. "Mtoto First aid" closes the gap between interaction and knowledge and gives the user a better understanding of how to actually administer first aid to an infant or toddler.
