‘Roar Bangla’ is a new media platform that covers news, history, social and economic issues, business, culture, lifestyle, and technology- exclusively in Bangla. With its unique mindset and business strategy, Roar Bangla desires to present the stories of the Bangla-speaking people in a way which truly resonates with their thoughts and lifestyle.
 

Goal and purpose of the project:

Roar Bangla is determined to provide quality articles written in Bangla so that the Bangla-speaking people can be informed, inspired and frequently entertained in a language medium that is truly theirs. The contents published by Roar Bangla are created by a team of fulltime and freelance writers and curated by an expert editorial panel that never compromises with the quality and legitimacy of the write-ups. . Using a language-specific knowledge promoting platform and ensuring freedom of information, Roar Bangla wants to foster social commitment at the grassroots level and develop a strategically sustainable model of social entrepreneurship - much in line with the GFF's (Gesellschaft für Freiheitsrechte ) principal motto, albeit in a customized manner. Additionally , all team members of Roar Bangla are aged between 17 to 26 ; making this platform completely youth-driven.

Motivation of the applicant / applicant team:

Roar Bangla acknowledges the fact that Bangla holds fourth position in the ranking of first languages by population and therefore, the members believe that a large number of Bengalis around the world will feel at home while going through the articles. The joy of acquiring in-depth knowledge on any topic in a language that does not feel alien to the readers is unfathomable and this sentiment is univocally shared by the visitors as can be observed in the provided Public Review section link. And there are few better ways to connect the world and make it a better place than empowering a large section of the population in a language medium they can truly relate to. Moreover, gender disparity is non-existent as both males and females can equally relate to the articles published in this platform along with males and females having equal opportunities in the working team of Roar Bangla.
